As the problems database is out of action while we update does anyone have a copy of the info regarding the Peak?

Maybe a sneak preview of Ru's guide wouldn't go a miss.  I have the stuff from the Ape index site but that doesn't seem as conprehensive at the ukb version

Aye. Not sure what's on the cards yet. Maybe a rematch with West side story at some point. Still trying to get folks keen for Gardoms south hit, Sauvito, China in..., Barry Sheene, Jackelope, Buisness as Usual etc. Or praps even Roaches. Nothing too crimpy though cos of dodgy finger.
 As for new probs. The Eagle stone only has the prow thing which goes 2 ways both 7b/7b+, all the rest just check the cockfax. Burbage has too much new stuff to list, grabbing a local is your only hope.

as usual as i've no definite plans theres a finite but not necessarily considerable chance i'll end up  at burbage. you'll be able to recognize cos i look damn fine and well turned out.

Dylan, all the ukb database problems were incorporated into the ukb list. I've kind of knocked it on the head coz the new guide is imminent but I can send you a text file of a dump from the database which will have everything listed that was ever on this site.

If anyone wants it I have a (probably) more organised text version of a combination of the UKB list and the Ape Index list, all sorted by crag with duplicates and other stuff edited out. Can post it online if it would be useful??

When is the new guide out?

Stuck in traffic today I got to thinking why there isn`t a decent up to date online bouldering guide to the Peak. Like most I am waiting eagerly for Ru's new guide which I am sure will be excellent, BUT within twelve months it will be out of date. Ok there is not that much new potential at most of these places, but thats what I thought with the last guide and look at how much more has been done in the intervening few years.

Surely an online guide is the way forward. Not just a list of new problems with no info where they are. I expect it hasn`t been done cos there is no money in it. But just how excellent would it be to have a fully up to date guide for all. No more trashing your guide book at the crag. Downloadable mini guides- like Rockfax do for a limited number of places. Surely if the job was divided up between the masses it could be up and running in not too much time. Any grades that change could be updated instantly.

Am I living in a dream world? I may start with my favorite boulder the Eagle Stone and work out from there. A life times work unless someone wants to share the load.
