heading to cullin for an attempt at the ridge on monday.

any recommendations for some sport on the way? i was thinking either a day at dumby or steall hut but not sure what seepage levels will be like. already been to tunnel walls so not as keen for there.

According to Dmac's Instagram it's been pissing down in Lochaber, and not forecast to stop until the weekend at least, so things might take a while to dry round there.

Dumby is obvious choice, but the Anvil or The Bunker might be OK, dependant on weather. Midges not completely gone yet though/

If you're up for exploring this is an amazing spot. Proper umbrella crag and I can't remember much seepage. Only two routes but both bangers. DMC grades so probs +1 (not that my noodle arms managed either)

I was in Glencoe a week ago and would say that anything in the west that's prone to being wet will definitely be wet.

Alternative option would be to drive to Skye via Perth and Dalwhinnie (drive time is much the same) and stop off for the classics at Upper Cave, but that's probably going to be wet too.

Or, for an extra hour's driving (much less of a diversion than Tighnabruaich or the Anvil would be), go via Inverness and stop in at Brin or the Camel. Both have a good selection of 7s and a few 8s, and I would guess might be more likely to be dry.

I honestly keep thinking this thread is about how demoralising it is to be a Scotland fan.

To sum it up I was once walking in Edinburgh when Scotland were playing a euro qualifier and overheard a guy call his mate and first thing he says is ‘how bad is it?!’   :'(

They’re one of only three unbeaten teams in the current Euro qualifiers though. Seems very unlikely that they won’t make it.

Would be extremely Scotland areas if they managed not to make it though!
