WANTED: Knee pad
May 29, 2023, 10:35:13 am
After 23 years of climbing I'm succumbing to the sneaky side.

If anyone has a decent knee pad covered in grippy rubber then let me know. As desperate as I am, I can't justify spending £70 on a new one.

Thanks

My 2 pence on kneepad purchasing...

I was in the same position a couple of years ago. Everyone told me to get the Send pad, but it was £70. I bought the Red Chilli pad instead for £35 and it was crap. A couple of months later I was looking to upgrade, saw the Sportiva one for around £50 and bought it thinking that Sportiva are a good brand, so it must be fine. Wrong. I now have 3 kneepads and only wear the Send. The difference is as big as it is between good and bad shoes.

Thanks for the insight.

So to clarify, I'm looking for a send kneepad or something better.  ;D

I can sell a la Sportiva one, I prefer my send one but I think because the rubber is thicker on the send. Let me know if you want it.
