So we were in the UK for a month in May/June and spent one day in the LEZ. We'd done the online registration thing but evidently their system isn't too clever because we've just received a nice threatening letter from their debt collection friends asking for £1000/2000/3000.
Our van is Euro5 and under 3.5T so not chargeable anyway. I've informed them of this (via the 'enquiry' form because their actual 'submit a claim' form failed to submit three times) including proof in the form of the van paperwork.
I'm 99% certain they can't actually enforce it anyway but has anyone had to deal with this and have anything to add? I obviously won't be paying it as we followed the rules to the letter.
