Nothing to do with the OS, it was down to user error (I Ctrl+V instead of clicking with the third-mouse button as I thought the URL was stored in that buffer).

This space first was made possible by the Manned Manuevering Unit or MMU, a nitrogen jet propelled backpack. After a series of test maneuvers inside and above Challenger's payload bay, McCandless went "free-flying" to a distance of 320 feet away from the Orbiter. I was thinking that, but I'm sure you could speed up/slow down the shuttle a little, and you'd soon end up back where you wanted to be. I'd probably end up with a big brown stain inside the suit though
