An alternative one of Atlantis and Hubble in front of the sun (caption from
Boston Globe confirms the 0.8 seconds to pass in front, must have had a decent FPS on that camera!!!)

Stunning weather/earth shots...

Also, if you want to feel even more insignificant http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/2706/spaceb.jpg (the pic is massive so I wont post it)

A friend showed me this the other day. It's a few years old so may have been posted somewhere before, but;

Looks fairly fake from there, however;

At first I thought is was this one, but colour of ship is wrong.

Seem to recall seeing similar pics with a red ship too, but can't find them now.

I saw a similar thing when we were in Portugal on a surfing holiday, a giant tanker got beached and people were bodyboarding in the breaks on the hull (it was later in the day, after the photos were taken, and the tide was further in), it looked very cool but also kind of dangerous.  It was a really amazing thing to see though, the anchor was about 4 times the height of me and you could walk right round and touch the hull and propellers.  Took them some effort to get it back out to sea again too.

Also found these which are pretty cool, more on the site:

Quote from: Li Wei
“There is a feeling of losing a grip on things, an uncertainty about the morrow. It’s a feeling of hanging in the air, of having nothing firm under the feet. And even if the family is my priority and thus a key part of my performances, I wonder: How much are we able to put up with?”

Snapped this at the Strines Moor Inn on Sunday, came out quite well considering it was in a very shady spot...

I bet they're good eating.  Wonder what they taste like?  Anyone eaten Peacock?  A friend has eaten Swan, said it was fine.

Some nice pics there Mr Cat.

Check out the last section of the How to Embed Pictures to UKB : Backlinking the Easy Way to get a simple way of backlinking your pics to their original flickr page (one of the T&C actually, but also means people can follow their nose to your stream should they be inspired to do so).

That's great  :great:

Anyone else find all this award shit in Flickr comments a bit annoying - for example:

It's not as annoying as Facebook but it has the potential to be.
