Unfortunately the author of this pic has blocked external linking of their flickr pics so you'll just have to see how much fun you can have with knives here.

I guess it all depends upon your personal interpretation of "quality".

i think you're right there, bubba. i'll leave it at that.

incidentally, if you'd like to see fine press stuff, click here and then click 2008 and the portrait of putin. not reportage, but a fine insight regardless.

more from cofe's link - check out the third one along on the "stories" line. The 7th and 10th shots are incredible.

Edit: fuck me, check out the second one along (Kenya) as well - 1st shot is amazing. The 6th one of Bhutto assasination is pretty awesome too.

Couple of random ones found on a thread in another forum with the same theme...

Would be interested to know where the second one comes from  :o  A wild guess would be Haiti but who knows.

A city official in Mexico took this amazing picture of a deadly traffic accident Sunday in Matamoros, Mexico. The accident, which left one cyclist dead and at least 10 others hurt, is getting international attention mainly because of this photograph. The photo, credited to Jose Fidelino Vera Hernandez, ran in the Mexican newspaper Hoy Tamaulipas and on the AP wire this week.

According to the AP: "Police investigator Jose Alfredo Rodriguez says the 28-year-old driver was apparently drunk and fell asleep when he crashed into the race. A photograph taken by a city official shows bicyclists and equipment being hurled high in to the air by the collision."

The illusion of 3d, made with old stereo cards, those old photographies from the 19th century that contained two different views of the same subject to give the illusion of depth. He converts them into pseudo-3D GIF images which can be seen without glasses, in your monitor. [Stolen from Giz]

They made a mistake photographing it with a wideangle, makes the join far more obvious than in the colour one.
