I cannot state strongly enough how much I hate advertising. Like Western foreign policy, copyright everything, multinationals, neoliberalism, privatisation, big banking and many other part of our masturbatory elitist-run anti-democratic system, the world would just be a better place without it.

Yup. Consider how much money gets squandered on advertising the world over, and how little impact most of it actually has on us. That money could so esily be spent on better things. Should advertising get taxed to fuck to cut it right back?
