The sight of somebody as tall as the Burns on a bmx has got to be pure comedy ;)

It's a big gingery mess of elbows and knees

Yup, some good shots.

I was kneeling in the shallows when I took that shot, along with quite a few others, before it occurred to me there are loads of crocs in the river (we saw some fishing the day before) and there was deep water only 5 feet away.

that's amazing. it must be hard to get close to your subjects and take a really good photo without the critter running off.

Nice snap Jim. Me and the missus managed to drag our arses out of bed
and went down to Crosby beach to watch the sunset over Anthony
Gormley's "Another Place."

Was baltic but managed some reasonable shots!

The figures will be moving on soon and I must say I've grown quite attatched to them...

(Edited as at long last I've realised how to post pictures properly!)

With the camera, yes. It's all down to the lens though. And the flash by the look of it..

These macro photographers have ways and means for that. Usual trick is to stick the beastlet in the fridge for half an hour or so, and then pose it on a leaf in the studio and shoot it while it is recovering.
