Best films ever

right, everyone likes films so what are your favourites?

for me

The Crow - kinda culty and very dark and poweful, 1 of my faves
Eraserhead - a proper horror film thats makes you feel uncomfortable
The Deer Hunter - not exactly what i'd call re-watchable stuff (it being a bit long and slow at times) but a great film
Night of the Living Dead (original) - absolute classic
Battle Royale - loses it big time in the last 10 minutes but up to then very good
Clockwork Orange - superb
If... - if ya haven't seen it ya missin out
And...Titanic

however thats about as conclusive as the evidence for going to war with iraq was but it's a start...

My favourites, in no particular order:

 - Being John Malkovich - one of the most original movie ideas ever, and perfectly executed
 - Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - best movie adaptation of a book ever, and one of my favourite books
 - Dogtown and Z-Boys - makes me want to surf every time I see it
 - Army of Darkness - sheer comic genius
 - Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - awesome
 - Blues Brothers - 'nuff said
 - Life is Beautiful - way fucking sad

The good the bad and the ugly
The warriors, awesome film,
Star Wars obviously,
And I think thats it.

I also liked Dazed and Confused, but didn't find fear and loathing in Las Vegas weird enough for my liking.

right, everyone likes routes so what are your favourites?

for me

The Crow - Pants filling Lleyn frightener. Easy for me.
Eraserhead - proper gnarly Main Cliff E6 action at Gogarth. Bouldering strength made it easy.
The Deer Hunter - Esoteric HVS at even more esoteric Chew crag Deer Knowle. Strange choice? Hey, I just like soloing on remote moorland grit.
Battle Royale - epic 3000ft multi pitch sport route up to 5.13+ in Portrero Chico. All the lock-offs paid off!
Clockwork Orange - world famous, one of the original French 8a's and reputedly the best route at Cimai. They call it Orange Mechanique btw. Flashed it, but with stamina like mine its easy...

Fuckin hell FOAM, I thought you said you'd never used a rope

You should be embarrassed. Mark Edwards' use of bolts in this amazing Land's End line was an absolute farce.

Blade Runner (Director's Cut) is one of the few films I can watch again and again without ever becoming sick of it. I think it's a masterpiece and much better than the earlier version with the narration and happy Hollywood ending.

I know a lot of people hate it, but it's probably my favourite film.
