Big up the golf massive in the massif. Was chatting about this last night. I have a habit of ending up at crags near golf courses, finding plenty of golf courses, and then giving them to my dad (who has been a keen golfer, out of action now so if anyone wants my balls, PM me).
So what are the most classic golf course / crag combos?? A few off the top of my head
Bell Hagg - that old chestnut although I suspect balls disappear into the woods down the hill.
Egerton Quarry - getting a bit intimate with this one, haven't found many balls yet but have pre-placed one in a crack.
Llanymynech - I never new there was a course right above this, might have to go to the shitty wee quarry beneath it next time.
Porth Dinllaen - you even get to walk through the golf course, with your pads as a shield. Plenty of balls but all firmly wedged in sea-level crevices.
Tarlair - an off-piste Moray Coast gem with an enticing photo in the book. There were bloody loads here IIRC....
