Anyone got camp site recommendations for staying near Carrock fell?

Gill Head Farm at Troutbeck (off the A66) is pretty close by. Used it loads with the family. Owners are good types, pitches are flat and facilities are very good.

Castlerigg farm was nice some years ago. Noise at night would be a big thing and can’t comment there. Seems civilised enough running past mornings,  staying in Keswick.

Dilemma of being near the pub for your use vs everyone else on the campsite also using the pub.

I've stayed at Gill Head, flat, quiet on the field and good facilities. Decent if you have little ones too.
