Perhaps worth letting everyone know the score as some people may have underlying health conditions that you’re unaware of.
So sorry to hear that James, super tough, but sounds like your dealing with the situation well and postively, which is good. Well done .
I hadn’t really realised that basically no one tests or even thinks about it anymore.
Really glad it went so well!Quote from: James Malloch on June 03, 2024, 10:33:20 pmI hadn’t really realised that basically no one tests or even thinks about it anymore. Some people do, but it definitely skews towards people who are immunocompromised or have conditions liable to be worsened by Covid (or who've already got long Covid), or people who know lots of people in the former group.Honestly, we're in a slightly weird place right now where Covid has been substantially defanged by the vaccines, but (last I checked) it's still about twice as likely to hospitalize you as flu is, and it's still causing long Covid (albeit at a much lower rate, and, according to clinical anecdata, maybe less severely). So it's not "just a cold" yet, or even "just flu". But the picture's so different I can understand why a lot of people have gone for the cognitive simplicity of "pretend it doesn't exist any more".
