Costa Blanca DWS

Anyone got any knowledge on the DWS around Moiria? The 2005 rockfax deep water guide has a topo for Moiria which looks fun (https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/moraira-1718/) and includes a tantalising mention of some very cool sounding caves, which I assume are a little further south? It also sounds like you need a boat to access?

There's also Cala del Moraig which looks fun, but not much hard stuff on UKC https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/cala_del_moraig-8662/#maps Any idea if there's more to go at in the area?

I think there's a potential direct finish to The Sapphire at Cala Moraig (very worthwhile 7b in its own right), my guess is it'd be in the 7c-8a range. Rumour has it the Secret Lagoon traverse project is potentially good but I never even managed to find the secret lagoon so can't confirm and have no idea on difficulty.

Already DM'd you this but in case others are interested I imagine Ambolo is the boat-requiring cave:

I've been to Moraig and it's really fun. Do the Firestarter Traverse, ideally with someone else; doing it alone was one of my dumber decisions as its about 300m long!

Secret lagoon isn't too hard to find but think you'll need a boat. Plenty of easy stuff to mess around on and some good cliff jumps into really deep water.

Thanks for the knowledge both. I checked out Ambolo a few days ago, lovely spot! If anyone's going again I spent a bit of time cleaning up the UKC crag page and adding a few topos for the more accessible stuff https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/ambolo-25086/#topos For the cave you really need a boat/SUP/kayak, looks like some fun tufa-fests in there though.

Had a little scope out of the crags on the south point here https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/moraira-1718/#maps

You can hire a SUP from here https://goo.gl/maps/cC1AiEam5hBZB4ck6 (15eur/hr, but as it's out of season they were very chill and just said we could use them for as long as we wanted). It's a 30min paddle to the crag.

Looks like some great potential. There's lots of it which is too high/chossy/hard but seems like plenty of good stuff to go at on generally good rock. Starts seemed like they might be tricky. If you want to do more than a route or two it'd definitely be worth taking a drybag for a towel etc.
