I climbed my linkup project at Cheedale cornice today.  Linking up the bottom half and crux of 32 in to the upper wall of 42 via a series of burly undercut moves to gain the big glued up undercut on 42.

I think it makes for a really good route being a good bit harder and more sustained than 32 with nice holds all the way and really cool moves out left to join 42.

8b+ and tough for the grade but  perhaps not quite as hard as 42.

Looks good, good effort! Why is it not as hard as 42 out of interest? How much easier is the crux than 42? It must be a bit longer and pumpier though. Is there a topo showing the line?

Yeah that’s it get the matchbox with LH and clip bolt on 32 then there’s some small undercuts on bad feet leading up left to the glued up undercut on 42 and clip the bolt above it.

I’m not sure on the difference in grade between the 2.

I had a couple of sessions on 42 and it felt desperate and I noticed the line of holds coming from 32 and started trying that instead.

It’s def a bit longer and unlike 32 / Anatomy act there’s no where to rest which makes it a real power endurance fest right to the chains. I actually didn’t even take my chalk bag on the successful red point as even the points I could chalk up we’re sapping too much from me.

Its breaks down to crux of 32 and straight in to a Boulder of about 7A ish (could be harder) and then the top of 42 which isn’t easy
