Hah, my first sterling was 50m, pretty sure it was reduced so much as anyone in the market for such a rope wanted a longer one so the 50m didn't sell!

Hope you don’t mind me splitting this off as it seemed like a good idea like the cheap shoes thread.

I’ve always liked the Revelation for its longevity so ordered one although was considering getting one of the Decathlon ones which has to be the default currently for anyone seeking a bargain rope

60 m singles are the bomb for bolted multipitch. But they are getting more and more rare. I usually just use old 80s or 100s that have been cut down to about 60, but it always feels a bit iffy to climb long routes on old tired ropes.

I don’t know how good the excellently-named Edelweiss Thruster  ropes are but they’re cheap enough for it not to matter that much.

“Give me an Edelweiss Thruster please. Make it a long one.”
