I had the Verdon non-velcro. Good for Verdon, unsurprisingly. Cannot remember the sizing.

I got a pair of the non-Velcro ones from Monkeyboy on here. They were smaller than my size in Anasazis (I was 8.5 in Anasazis, would have needed a 9 in Verdons) and the point of the toe was more in the centre than at the place where your big toe is. I sold them on without wearing them for these reasons!

They are indeed stiff. Mark20 and (I think) Shark had them too. Didn’t know there was a Velcro version ‘til this thread to be honest.

I found they seemed a bit 'thick' on the big toe and that my Blancos outperformed them (that might say more about me than the shoes though).

Verdon Lace was the same sizing as Whites for me. I liked them, slim fit (like Whites), pointier toe gets right into the back of little notch type footholds (eg Powerband) and pockets, where the Whites feel really clunky, and the slight downturn which keeps them feeling stiff for edging even as they get old and worn. I'm still looking for a decent replacement to be honest - the popular Scarpa ones are too wide in the toe box for me.
Are the Verdon velcro a new model then?

Actually come to think of it, like Cheque says, I think they’re half a size tighter than the Whites
Pretty sure I’ve got a size 7.5 pair I can’t fit into actually, I’ll have a look tomorrow

Thanks everyone, sounds like they're decent but unexceptional, perhaps not exactly what I want at the though.

Mark, they're not new found some cheap ones on a prominent online retailer beginning with A
