Well that is interesting.

About 2 weeks ago I watched the episode ofThe Masked Singer on ITV with the ‘Viking’ with my daughter. They had video of the Viking amongst the Upper Tier boulders, including a shot, from the same position as this photo, of him walking to camera past the graffito ‘KINGS ROCK’ superimposed (?) at face level by the arête.

And now loads of graffiti at exactly the same spot.

Pity the police have been too busy fining coffee drinkers.

I've been noticing more and more graf on boulders around the place.  Higgar last year, Lawrencefield too.  It's only really a matter of time till something 'major' happens on one of the many blank canvass' around the peak.

Who remembers Froggatt slabs in the early 90s.

Time for Staffordshire Police to stop farting around trying to outdo Derbyshire in the disproportionate bellend stakes and encourage climbers from all around - not just Danebridge Mr Olympia 2016, as good a singular deterrent as he might be - to climb there and patrol the rocks to dissuade this sort of moronitude.

Or maybe end the lockdown earlier so the chodes can go back to shoplifting from TKMaxx or whatever they do.

Has anyone suggested any steps for cleaning/removing this? It looks like the work of kids looking for ways of being delinquent while we're under lockdown.

I've seen some photos on Facebook that indicate some climbers went up today and did a very thorough job of removing it. Good work, whoever it was!
