Tsk! Get her ditched mate! Only joking, I was in much the same situation yesterday, but I did get a lot of other non-climbing stuff done so it wasn't all bad. Today is looking mighty fine too for all you lucky people who are not at work....

I've just had a load of sick time so it's not an option. At least the weekends are looking a bit more promising now, and the evenings are getting a bit lighter....before we know it it'll be summer and the grit will be midgey, sweaty hell!!

Out for a couple of hours at Curbar on Saturday - in good nick actually. Gorrila Warfare turned into a ukBouldering.com unofficial meet - Bubba, James, FatBoySlimFast and (dunno mark's UserID) Mark all hanging around in dark holes pulling on jugs...

Good to see some people out! Does anyone know what you do with your feet on the hurricane?

It's just Mark  :D

I think you did Gorilla Warfare far too easily and you need to eat some more pies

I wish it felt like a jug haul to me, you bugger

Don't joke, I've seen climbers who feel like they've eaten a bit too much actually go and throw up afterwards....not healthy behaviour!

Got out on saturday with Dave and Cofe and Tom, we went to the Clifftop Boulder. Really cool, worth checking out. I hadnt been outside for a while so I was weak as shit, but the problems were pretty cool.

Both Cofe and Dave did the V9 dyno which is nice, but the hardest thing there was the B1 on the slab! Desperate...

Clifftop boulder is sweet - that right hand arete new-ish B8 is good, as mentioned on topbouldering:...

....but we used a pimp-slap method.

Also James' V6 mini-traverse thing is good.

The dyno was good fun, not very far really, and if thats V9 then I'm a black man.

After that we busted an ass to Andle stone, and failed on that 7b+ wall. Hit the top though, ans some other guys did it, which was nice. All in all a really good day, especially considering it was trying to rain all day.

That GW vid is good, thats the sequence i used to use before Cofe showed me an easier way.

dunno best way to explain, but imagine the good spike and crimp (right of the sloper) he does the slap move off? well you get these cross-handed, put left heel on the big sloper, which unwieghts your RH which you move over to the hold visible in the video right again (sort of beneath the cuving shelf thing) then you can go again with RH to the curving shelf thing almost static. I never even noticed that hold before i got shown it, and it really does make it easier, no risk of cutting loose or owt. Still both methods are good moves though.

Like that crafty beta - I've got to start work on this problem but it's the sort of thing I'm worst at as my hefty thighs try to wrench me off at every oppurtunity  :)

That 7b+ at the andle stone is good.  Fairly delicate and very balancy.  The rock up is a good move and the last moves feel so precarious.
Cheers

James
