Sounds like park in the village and walk in at a minimum. Possibly no easy access even on foot this week? Not clear if any climbing on south side during works? Nothing on RAD that I can find.

Looking on google maps, the road closure is marked as from the parking beneath the remnant up to the point the the cliff top walk crosses the road at the top. So feasible (if you can park) to walk from either end depending on what crag you're going to. Also says closure is until 1st Dec rather than 3 weeks so could be much less disruption?

Thanks Duma, a good opportunity for those who like the gorge car-free.

Having a look now. Google is wrong, road shut from la rocca as per the parish website. No access cars or pedestrians (ie only access from village end is via lion rock/remnant/Easter Island path.
The gorge is utterly gorgeous with no traffic, the goats are loving it.
Just walking up to the top end to check access from that side.

Serious forestry going on at top end too, road shut there as well. Utterly deserted from pride evans to the top.

No idea if I'm allowed to be here, buts really wonderful without traffic. #closetheroad

When we were there the other weekend it was insane. Not just the usual hatchbacks, etc but Lamborghinis and crazy Nissans. It was like Grand Theft Auto: West Country.

Later that evening, one of the cars even slowed down to launch a salvo of fireworks at our van and the others in the car park.
