Did this come up in nation news at all today? Saw a tweet this morning, and was just wondering if it was widely known.

The Guardian article came out at 2 am Sunday and I never saw it near the front page.

It’s an interesting idea that it will gain traction in the same way that resolutions against land mines and cluster bombs did. With the current geopolitical situation and the strategic nature of nuclear weapons, this seems like a bit of a fantasy right now.

It would be awesome if we could free up all that Trident money for something vaguely useful!

I asked my mum as she's usually a regular BBC TV and radio news person, but she'd avoided it all day yesterday. Obviously if I search BBC there will be some article online, but was keen to see if it had made the headlines.

Seems like a very good development, but obviously it depends if the big players follow suit...

I'd live the new trident to get scrapped and put that money in to education, energy and health care.
