Tavistock square 7a Ogwen Bank boulder

Hi all,

Just need some clarification on this problem in Bethedsa Wales. In the guide book the picture shows a climber on this problem using the low foothold circled in my photo in red. Is this in as it technically right of the crack.? The description says "the rock left of the crack is out of bounds as is the upper section of the arete." Therefore it leaves a little open to interpretation. Also I take it the circled area in orange is the highest portion for the hands on the arete as well.

(Link below)

Nice problem and I climbed it using the low foothold as the photo in the North Wales guide, low portion of the arete and avoided the obvious left hand side of the boulder.

Be good to get some clarification

Think that block is out too, it's a separate block to the arete. The yellow circle is right though. There's a tiny little foot dink to the right, on the arete bit, that most use.

I'm not sure how much difference it makes. The next move feels like the more tricky one, rather than getting off the floor anyway. Fun problem.

James was definitely standing on the arête in that guide photo. I even zoomed in on the original image to check! It's pretty obvious I thought but maybe a bit more clarification is needed?
