FA by Caff this afternoon. Best crag on Fachwen and one that had remained untouched until recently. Also has a few 6s, 3 7As, 1 7A+, 2 7Bs

There's been 40+ new lines on Fachwen and 70+ on Clegir (up to 8A). Very creative period for Llanberis scene.

Looks fantastic! Amazing what can go unnoticed on you doorstep for so long!

Takes a global pandemic to get people to explore the bushes.

We have found lots of new crags locally, but this one I actually knew about. Paul Trower, one of the original Al harris/Fachwen '70s crew, showed it to me about 4-5 years ago. I realised it was a very cool piece of rock but the landing needed some work so I filed it away in the 'must come back here some time' file....and then got busy with other places. Caff and Jon Ratcliffe both found it independently - which is a good effort because it is well hidden.

Never been to Switzerland, and only one (damp) trip to font, but my first thought was "surely that's not in the UK!?" Most esoteric bouldering I do comprises lay-down starts of 6' high bulges of scrittly grit. That looks beautifully "pure". Anyone have an "off the books" holiday rental?!

Who doesn’t love an inside flag! Liquid climbing! Nice one Caff.
