FS: Home Woodie
January 08, 2020, 03:01:42 pm
It's looking like we may move house (although it's a long way off  :worms:) to somewhere with significant board potential.

Is anyone needing a home board? It was made by Probes (Crusher) and was delivered in a T4 in sections:

*holds are negotiable, but I'll be keeping the wooden ones and some other favorites for the future.

It's near Clitheroe and would need collecting

Could be interested Paul. Depending on if we plan to move and whether it could be stored in mean time etc...

Did you mean at yours or here or...?

It breaks down into relatively sensibly sized pieces with one longer thing piece for the top. I can measure up if useful?

Ours :) Dimensions would be good to know (overall and size of the individual boards). We've room in the cellar, but I'd have to negotiate :) No rush this end though...

To resurrect this thread, we're edging towards a completion date of the 3/7 and the new house has a large garage that I'm intending to turn into a decent board, bike etc. setup, rather than cannibalising the board I think it's best to sell it.

Everyone now sees the virtues of a home climbing setup; the climbing surface is 2900mm wide and 2660mm in length. Angle can be changed by drilling the supporting timbers but it's currently set at ~30degrees. It's self-supporting.

The board breaks down into pieces that mainly 1220mm x 1220mm. I think the largest piece is 2440mm in length (the header board). For reference it was delivered in the back of a T4.

I'm looking for £350 without the holds but I'm open to offers (and may leave a few holds on if they're not my favourites  :tumble:). Collection only really, nr Clitheroe.

I'm also going to put this on the outdoor gear exchange FB group.

If TomTom doesn't want it I could be keen. What's the floor footprint? I've only got 3000x2200 which might be too small if my basic trig is right, depends on where the supports come out to.

Edit: I could deal with the climbing board itself overhanging more than 2200, but the base needs to be within that.

2939mm  x 2254mm currently, it's offset as one support allows for a door. The attachment point on the stays is ~350mm from the top of the climbing surface (measured parallel to it). On plan the LHS extends 2254mm and the RHS 1470 RHS. Does that make sense?

It's fairly easy to alter the angle. Nat took the dog out for a walk one evening and Peewee and I did just that, the only problem being we were sussed next time she tried to use the BM2000 (which is now ~7' from Vt).

I've added some photos and the original sketch to a Google Drive folder:

Aye it does, especially with the photos cheers. Looks like the supports would swap easily to the opposite sides? Our door's on the left.

Does it flex much?

:) Good to know others can be sandbagged when they're not looking.

Maybe best to have a chat? I'll pm

Is the greyhound non-negotiable?

Depends how many times she vomits between now and moving  (they don't like change). The sofa about 10 mins before a viewing (cleaning seemed to be so out of the norm she got very stressed) has been the most/least impressive so far.
