One of these surely? It’ll get most of the way up the tourist track to the cove... 😃

I'm getting advertised at, probably because of the searching I did in relation to this thread.

Lowe Alpine appear to do something (or a range) similar to the DMM Flight in various sizes:
https://lowealpine.com/uk/misfit%2027
https://lowealpine.com/uk/outcast%2044

Shame it doesn't have a clipstick/bottle pouch per side.

I have a flight. It fits everything fine, with a rope strapped to the top. The zip is durable. Mines a couple of years old and it's bearing up well.

Outcast (and Rogue) are reviewed on UKC.

Quote from: That UKC review
The frame consists of a lightweight spring steel and aluminium frame attached to a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheet.

This is what prompted me to splash out on an MH “Crag Wagon”- it appeared to be the only bag with climbing-friendly features (I don’t share Moose’s enthusiasm for the multi-pocketed trekking style) with a proper back system.

The big advantage of the Crag Wagon is that the zip is a kind of U-shape on the front of the bag though- these Lowe and DMM ones seem to have the zip going round the sides so doing a lot of the structural work of holding it all together, particularly at the point when you zip it all up at the end of the day.

DMM Flight is well made and great value - significantly undercutting those Lowe Alpine models

A big up to our beautiful sponsors

You've gone a bit Trump there Shark...

Thought it best to say early on - before we have to organise an intervention :)

I’m an intelligent man. Some say the cleverest. And I’ve got a DMM Flight. That tells you all you need to know.

I've got the 45L with S/M back. Fully packed it's just too long for hand luggage, but it should squash down just enough otherwise. It might raise an eyebrow though.

This Simond one may be an option. As usual with Simond stuff not quite as flashy/well finished however likely to be very functional and cheaper than other brands.

Another vote for this. i fit an 80mm rope and 20+ draws, harness and shoes in mine. and food for the day.

you can also coil the rope and attach it to the top of the bag  while you wear it if you need more kit in your bag.
