gin palace

andi has spoke about a trip to the slate soon, gin palace is on the list.
seen online the bolt are not 100%
putting a new one or 2 in isn't going to take much time or cost.
what size drill was used on the bolts ?

I'll ask what wolf was talking about next time I see him. They were new bolts during the rebolting which saw it go fully sport from mixed gear. I'm guessing that was between 10-15 years ago , and potentially 12mm's as that's all we had back then. Saying that it isn't exactly a trade route so the expansion bolts are unlikely to have wriggled out (a problem on slate as its soft and hang dogs basically grind a bigger hole). Therefore it may be rockfall damage (loads of movement in Vivian lately). May need a new hanger or squirt of resin to secure, however it's probably still safer than the original set up (small friend and some smallish wires)

I did this last year in April and everything seemed fine with the bolts, some of the placements mean that the rope rubs up the fin though so that's worth watching out for. Brilliant route, well worth the full body puke pump.

Wolf was probably just stressing then. Certainly unlikely to kill you

the wobbliness of the bottom of the flake itself is most likely to concern those who aren't afraid of a barbell or a squat or three.

It was a joke re the wobbly flake, but good effort on ya. I'm 50 now so feel your pain.
