Intermittent fasting is so 2018.

Think you're right. It worked in 2018

W - Core. I fucking hate doing this but I definitely find it helps sadly!
I find it easier to do this when I can't actually climb (injured), also finding a circuit of exercises that are still painful and burn but you enjoy. It's helped my lower back pain loads though!

T: MRI on wrist. TFCC intact, no breakages. Surgeon said nothing fundamentally wrong in wrist requiring surgery! Inflammation of an insignificant muscle in my wrist so offered me option of a cortisone injection

W: Apartment gym. 10 mins elliptical. Apartment Gym. 10 mins elliptical. Core workout - 300 core movements. Press-ups on sideways kettle bell *3 each side * 3 sets = 18 press-ups. Some light rehab

T: Cortisone Injection in wrist, surgeon pretty confident my wrist should improve soon

F: Apartment Gym. 10 mins bike. Core workout - 300 core movements. Stretching (back, lower body and shoulders)

S: Breckenridge skiing. 13.4k ft descent, 24.5 miles. Skied mostly blacks all day on peak 10 and from the imperial express lift. Also did Horseshoe Bowl twice, an amazing double black. So steep and powdery :)

S: Apartment gym. 10 mins elliptical. Apartment Gym. 10 mins elliptical. Core workout - 300 core movements. Press-ups on sideways kettle bell *3 each side * 3 sets = 18 press-ups. Biceps, triceps and shoulders with 15lb dumbbells high reps. Improvement as pre-injection I couldn't even pick up the 10lb dumbbell

Wrist feeling a bit better, going to try some easy bouldering tomorrow

Weight 10st4lb

M: 5km recovery jog.

T: BoulderUK - Tried some of the new problems. The grades seemed all over the place. I could barely get up the V5s on the right hand side but found the new V5s and V6s ok in the middle part of the wall. My upper back and shoulders felt stiff and I was struggling to move well. I tried to do some circuits but you need to be on it to do the circuits there and I don't tend to get on well with them anyway and find them painful on the skin.

W: Nothing. Travelling down south for work.

T: Work meeting in Hampshire and then back to London to my new favorite bouldering wall there (The Stronghold). Started with some shoulder recruitment and some finger boarding but I felt really heavy. My shoulders and back were still really stiff and I managed to pull a muscle in my neck on one the of the harder black circuit problems so that I could barely look sideways to the right. I tried to do circuits and did ok on the blue 7c+ and then got really pumped on the 7a+. I lost motivation, had sore skin and my neck was painful so I sacked it after that.

F: Nothing. Travelling back to Austria.

S: Met friends in the Rätikon and did a bit of hiking. My dry January/not drinking until I climbed 8b or finished one of my 100km trail races went out the window when I was poured a white wine to accompany the fondue we were having. After the first glass I couldn't stop and ended up pouring a whole bottle down my neck. I felt pretty terrible from the over eating and drinking.

S: 10km run in the snow up to Partnunsee. Sledging in the afternoon.

A pretty rubbish weak climbing-wise with two bad sessions. The Bob Graham recce I did the weekend before not only wrecked my legs but also gave me a stiff upper back and neck which I subsequently ended up straining. On to the next week!
