Looking for hostel recommendations for single travellers, under 20 euro/night ideally. The description on the one linked mentions 7 euro, but when you search its >20/night.
Have hostels become really expensive since I didn't stay in one for the past ten years?

Any suggestions appreciated! Or even just let me know my price expectations are stuck in the last decade. Thanks

I think your price expectations are off, to be honest. In Australia hostels were always around $25, so £15-18 quid a night. Haven't stayed in any in UK/Europe but can't imagine its too different.

Just have a look at Hostelling in UK, beds are about £25-35 or more.

I think that's saying there's a compulsory 7€ charge per person for linen rental.
