Injury / tweak at base of finger
March 06, 2019, 02:37:29 pm
I injured my finger approx. 5-weeks ago. I'm not exactly sure how I did it; no pop, click or crunch, though I had some discomfort whilst doing a set of weighted pull-ups from the large slots on my beastmaker 2000 (deep holds), so I assume that I injured it then. I haven’t noticed any swelling at any point.
See pic, tender line highlighted in orange on my R/H. L/H shown for comparison Re swelling.

It only really hurts when it's fatigued… e.g. doing 4x4's or a long intense f-board routine.
Short intense sessions and climbing outside aren’t painful… Weird eh!?
Apart from that its tender to prod it, perform pull ups on a bar or jugs that dig into it; or pick up stuff on it, like a heavy dumbbell.

I've been massaging it with one of those massaging rings for a couple of minutes each day, and also a few mins a day doing these stretches I found on youtube:

Anyone any ideas exactly what I've done, and what I should do with it please?
