Lake District cottage reccomendations
September 27, 2019, 03:31:34 pm
We very recently welcomed a new addition to our family and I'm in the process of trying to pull together a list of cheap, rustic cottages throughout the Lake District for family walking/running holidays. So many accommodation provisions stipulate a weeks' booking as a minimum but I'd like to find those where there is no minimum or perhaps a two night stay minimum.

In particular, options close to the Bob Graham Round sections are of interest if anybody can offer any suggestions?

Steve from Frontrunner in Sheffield has a place (I'm not sure if he lurks here).

We've used Sally's Cottages twice and I think they're excellent. We stayed with a little one (8 months) last time too. It wasn't more expensive than airbnb but it was clear what you got.

Last time we stayed in Borrowdale and you could take any one of about 8 walks from the front door. Glorious. The cottage was pretty basic though (and no internet) but I quite like it like that.
