Training ancap whilst not fully recovered
September 29, 2018, 07:02:48 pm
Do you need to be fully recovered to train ancap and get the best or reasonable benefit?

I had session working boulder problems last Wednesday then did sub par fingerboard/ max strength on Friday. Was thinking of ancap to tomorrow doing 12 moves then 2 1/2 mins rest....

Understand strength can’t be trained unless recovered but where does ancap, as above fall?

I always do AnCap second day on, generally after fingerboard or bouldering. Can't have a day off before everything and certainly better that way around.

Also worth having a bit of faith that by pushing on when you're a bit tired then you'll become more conditioned and therefore better able to train 2nd/3rd/nth day on. The multi-day training stimulus might be more than the sum of it's parts? (if done smartly etc..).
