Athens climbing and bouldering
August 08, 2018, 08:41:30 pm
I'm going to a conference in Athens at the end of September and have a few days afterwards for sightseeing etc. I was hoping to sample some of the local climbing too. I reckon bouldering would be the easiest logistically as I'd only need shoes and chalk but it looks a bit thin on the ground in the immediate vicinity (does anyone know of any?). Volos, Varasova or Rizoma could be feasible but topos and information are pretty sparse online. Does anyone have the guidebook Olympic Blocs: Bouldering in Greece? If I could borrow or get hold of a copy that would be great!

Alternatively does anyone know any Athenian sport climbers who could hook me up with a partner for a couple of days?

Cheers.

Remember discussions here, no idea how hard to get to from Athens, but they have a great efficient railway system! :)
