I've got a day off on Tuesday. Option A would be to go trad climbing somewhere but struggling to pin down a partner (if you're interested then let me know. Can get to the lakes at about 10 and need to be in Patterdale by 10pm).
Option B will be to boulder somewhere. Criteria are somewhere that will dry reasonably quickly after a possible shower in the morning and not the Bowderstone as I've been before. Preferably a properly brilliant venue as I rarely get the chance to boulder in the Lakes,with a good selection of things in the 7A-7B.

You’re going to the Lakes, not Fontainebleau, good luck finding a bouldering venue fitting your criteria (spoken as an ardent fan of lakes bouldering)!
St Bees probably your best bet.

It's hardly a stringent list! Reasonably quick drying and really good with enough low 7s to occupy a punter for the day.

it is a stringent list for an area that IMO specialises in crags with a few outstanding problems and a few warm ups in stunning locations on great rock. Eg Gillercombe has a couple of great 7’s in an amazing setting, but not a huge lot else. Actually combining Gillercombe and Sour Milk would give you some good 7’s to go at.

None of the low 7’s at Kentmere are particularly classic, The Hole and the Weasel ones are quite good, not tried the Badger Stone ones.

Assuming your coming up the M6 - I’d consider driving up to Carrock. patterdale is 30 min south of there.

If it’s sunny it might be horrible though.
