Sudden pain in base of finger
July 16, 2018, 09:29:49 am
A couple of months ago I prodded the area of my palm where the finger joins it (metacarpal?) and there was a slight pop followed by a sharp pain. The pain went down to slight soreness after a couple of days.
I went to see a physio who couldn't find anything obviously wrong as I didn't appear to have lost any strength and range of movement. He thought maybe I'd pushed a nerve over the joint while rubbing it (Hence the pain).
I've been climbing on it and not had any issues other than the occasional tingle early on but then it started hurting on Saturday again, this time while I was holding a pint. I'd had a intense training session on Friday evening so this may have provoked it a little.

Anyone had or heard of any similar injuries?
