1st - Weight session, dumbells tri and bicep.
2nd - Core Session
3rd - going to the wall later, approx 2 hour session.
4th - walk with kids not fast, but got out at least.
5th - theraband and weights session
6th - pool half hour while kids in lesson. Probably about 1 km.
7th - not a massive amount - some stretching, but doing some beaver leader training and spent 2/3 hours in cinema with last Jedi.
8th - lunchtime run - 7 km, 40 mins. cleared out garage in evening, backbreaking. Cracked out a couple of deadlifts.
9th - weight session
10th - bouldering session at wall
11th - ski touring at Glenshee. Cheated a bit as used one Poma to save time, but skinned to top of Glas Moel, dropped west side (icy as hell) back to bottom, then batted out a couple of laps on the pomas before heading home. In spite of mediocre conditions a grand day out.
12th - light beastmaker session plus a few deadlifts.
13th - pool session while kids in lesson - managed 1150m in the half hour - crawl and breaststroke alternating
14th - treadmill run - half hour.
15th - wall session - couple of hours bouldering
16th - nothing. In a moment of paranoia got a flu jab before travelling to france, they recommended no exercise for 24 hours.
17th  - wall session - couple of hours bouldering
18th - lunchtime yoga session - hour. Felt hard.
19th - can't recall much
20th - half hour swim
21st - run, 15km
22nd - nothing much, started feeling ill, packed.
23rd - see above
24th - travelled to Geneva straight from work.
25th - Snowboarding - les gets
26th - skiing - grand massif
27th - ski morning, then snowboard afternoon
28th - Portes du Soleil circuit plus skiing at Avoriaz. - 46km covered plus 9500m vert. Shows on a quieter day with a slightly earlier start that 50 k and 10,000m vert can be done
29th - Skiing Les Gets
30th - half day boarding Les Gets
31st - nothing, back to work :(

so not a complete success, but made up for more on some days and less on others. I think I lost about 6 pounds in the month.

Lots of blubber to shift. Was a year-high of 69.5kgs just now. That's verging on overweight. I'll need to get down below 65 by the end of the month to feel like 2018 isn't just going to be a repeat of 2017.

65.5 this morning. That’s not far off. Also did something, kettlebells, climb, cycle, run, stretch pretty much every day so I think counts as a successful sharkajanathon. Now to actually do something with the fitness lightness and strength gains!

I didn’t do Official SharkathonTM but I did manage no booze (aiming for at least another couple of months, if not all year) and Happy Scale reports 4.4kg lost in January.

15kg to go...

My January was never meant to be dry, but averaged about 1 unit a week except the week of skiing, where i kept it down to about 3 a day.
