Try Tatton, Styal, Alderley Edge and Dunham Massey too. I think there are very real issues with how the Trust treats its tenants and not everything is done perfectly but when you consider the extent of what they look after and what the situation might be if those lands and estates (e.g. The Lake District) were in private hands it's difficult to see the sense in being strongly anti.

For those wanting a NT parking permit rather than supporting the Nt (not me btw) then the cheaper option is to joint NT Scotland (cheaper) or NT New Zealand (much cheaper) and the access abilities/parking are largely transferable. As I understand it...

"Your Heritage New Zealand membership card is not a parking permit and does not entitle you to free or reduced cost parking at historic places cared for by these heritage organisations."

Or if you have something wrong with your car and have to open the bonnet?

Be a bit embarrassing if the car didn't belong to you, i.e. if it had been lent.

Should cover it, but just check the parking charge hasn't risen on the third day.

On the original subject, it sounds like the enforcement will be done by wardens with tickets rather than numberplate-recognition cameras. Despite the posted start date of April 1st arrangements are not yet in place for this.

All existing Stanage stickers expired on the 31st March.

Cost of tickets:

http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/visiting/parking

and venues:

http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/visiting/parking/parking-locations

Covers Millers Dale so the annual pass makes sense for regular Chee Dale users

Plantation isn't in the list. Or is it referred to as 'Hooks Carr' which i've never heard of?

Hook's Carr is the Popular End parking, Hollin Bank is the Plantation & Dennis Knoll is High Neb.

Did anyone apply for an annual pass?  Just realised I sent off an application over a month ago but haven't received anything yet.  Anyone got theirs?

No but gives me an idea - can we get away with an "annual pass application in post" sign on the dash?
