I'd like to add boulderers who do problems way below there grade and declare them as "Soft" regardless of how hard (or easy) they are for the given grade. They declare this either as loud as they can at the crag or on some sort of social media platform to look extra cool.

At the opposite end of the scale any route described as "hard for the grade", regardless of how hard it is relative to how I'm climbing, takes on an air of desperation in my mind.  Three star uber-classics also feel like they'll be harder than other routes of the same grade and to a degree so do reachy routes. Throw in an epic first-ascent tale and perhaps I'll just go bouldering instead.

Those old blue 100 Classics topo guides (Ashton?) were especially good at making every route in them sound like you'd be lucky to survive.
