Would one on Froggatt/Curbar/Baslow be of any use?

Depending on cost, I think two are quite important - conditions are often dry around curbar but wet at stanage

Dwtails of the Yad Moss Cam:

Quote
The cameras are old now (5/6 years) so I'm sure they won't be available. They were something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Home-Security-Camera-Surveillance/dp/B01DY94WJ8/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1489842575&sr=1-5&keywords=webcam+live

They can be controlled remotely. They have a SIM card and were set up to email or text an image to an account every x minutes. We then wrote a bit of code which checks the in box frequently and posts the latest image on the website.

The cameras are each housed in a weather proof box. These steam up or ice up from time to time so we installed a windmill charged battery and a heating element in each box. You can buy cameras in weatherproof enclosures but would they be up to pennine weather?

Has someone asked Outside if they would simply put a new camera up? I was going to ask next time I was in there.

a second in the curbar area would be great but as a start I guess getting the outside cam replaced with a better camera is the easiest option? Building and internet already there.

The Outside cam was on the owners house rather than the shop.  Could be he's moved or perhaps just cost savings, I'm not sure you'll get much joy anyway

Im sure I can sort the BMC or someone else to fund it if this gets sorted
be careful that you don't upset the old duffers, we could do without another vote of no confidence

I'm tempted to fund as long as there's a climb Britain logo stamped on every image produced from it ;)
