Hopefully off this way in August if the weather is decent.  Anybody climbed at some of the other crags in Tyrol away from  Zillertal, such as Chinese Wall, Schleirwasserfal, Neiderthai?  Any good?  Any other suggestions?

Also any top tips fro good free van spots.  I know about the free spot in Zillertal next to the crag on the big boulders, just wondered if anybody knows of any other slightly less crowded spots to park up

Chinese Wall and Neiderthai I have visited and both are excellent. Chinese Wall is good in bad weather, which may well be useful. I think the Wasserfal would be boiling in August, which is why we didn't go there!

Plenty of nice crags in the Ötztal valley as well as Neiderthai; Piburger See in particular is good on a hot day combined with swimming in the lake. Götterwandl, near Imst is decent too, though it has a few manufactured holds.

can't help with van spots as we were camping in the (mind-numbingly expensive) campsites

Dunno if this fits with the vanlife zeitgeist but last time we went to Austria we went to Alpbachtal (a valley or two over east from the Mayhofen valley) and got a nice apartment for not crazy cheddar, and it came with a free lift pass for all that area's lifts. If there's something similar around Mayrhofen then look into it.  Loads of good walks, cafe chillin, knockout scenery for rest days in the Zillertal area, paragliding etc. Or get up high for cooler temps then climb in the evenings.

 I believe that there is free camping up at the top of the zillertal valley close to the wigwag sector. Right next to some pretty good bouldering too

Never heard of that, but the Cita dei Sassi (City of Rocks) on the Sella Pass is good.
