Is this where I can plan going sea fishing for a small yet tasty flatfish some time in the possible future?

Getting burnt off by a mate? Then why not try the Jealodab? Simply jump up and slap your mate whilst they top out to invalidate the whole ascent.

equally just throwing something at them also works and is perhaps more satisfying.

A pad, just to make sure they've definitely dabbed.

Do the items have to be grounded to count as a proper dab?

chalk ball or shoe will do, preferably theirs.

A pad, just to make sure they've definitely dabbed.

this is the safest bet. Could always blame it on the wind

I think a strong gust coincident with barn-dooring should count as a dab.

I think there's a lot to be said for a retro-jealo-dab to deflate someone's ego in the pub afterwards...

I have also witnessed a paternal-anti-dab where a lad doing GW at curbar had a blatant dab but didn't seem to notice. As he was coming down I said to his Dad 'are you going to tell him about the dab?' . He declined.

So Shark - as you power through the traverse towards the chain on the Oak*, watch out for a drone equipped with a false hand on a stick coming your way to deliver an ascent denying remote dab**... ;)

*I've no fucking idea whether that makes sense, but I've gathered there is a horn and a traverse on the Oak. Quite why you have to honk a horn on a route I don't know, but those chuffers do some strange things. Is it more of a klaxon than a horn? That would sound better - or something that makes sonar pings like you hear in submarine films. That would be cool.

** ;)

Are knee pads in or out?
Knee bars with pads, conceptual dabs. :)

That sounds a bit too serious - although pretty perceptive. Stealth dab?

Some people think it's a frig if you claim The Joker with a French start off the block. I reckon you might be able to get away with it, if you step off of a pad, on top of the block. ?

I guess that's a conceptual dab category issue.

Does it being so windy your pad blows away and hits you halfway up the problem count as a dab?

Midge dab? Fly dab? Bumble dab? I confess, I've been guilty of all of these.

Also a couple of flora-related dabs...
 - Tree dab from encroaching branches over boulders
 - Grass dab from long grass at the base of boulders

If someone dabs but there's no one there to hear it, was it still a dab?

or in other words

If a dab doesn't create a sound, was it really a dab?

Has anyone told Johnny that he dabbed when he did Gaia? Back around.

I thought he'd already confessed on video, and in his heightened (surely shortened?) state of awareness, he found himself distraught at being caught between the fall and a dab. What a position to be in.

Some funny posts on this

And Will, sorry about being so forthright in my reply to your post on the DW thread.

That's bollocks

the rope tension is clearly of far greater benefit than the support provided by standing on the hill

insignificant dab in my opinion

I think we should term dabs of no significance as a waft.
