Word up!

I shall be driving from Sheff to St Bees and back next weekend

leaving Sheffield center 3pm (can be later if needed) on Friday 9th Sept 2016 and driving back afternoon/eve of Sunday 11th Sept 2016

this will be a ride in a 1995 GMC Safari van (same as Chevrolet Astro van) Starcraft conversion - not going much above 60mph

5% chance of breaking down due to me being responsible from turning it from a non-runner into cruising its MOT

running on LPG, so not fucking up local air quality

space for 3 other people plus pads and gear

stereo doesn't work, so bring guitars etc or battery powered boombox - I'll be doing a few Johnny Cash covers

probably the most comfortable car/truck seats you will ever experience - think leather reclining armchairs designed for 26 stone Americans

I'm staying at a mates house, but can drop you off and pick up anywhere reasonably near

contributions to fuel welcome, but not essential

can't really share driving due to classic car insurance rules

could possibly fit bikes in the back if that's your thing

if someone could link to this from the other channel, that would be cool - preference to UKB posters/lurkers obvs

I am mainly going to see a mate and do some fishing - I will go bouldering and spotting if the weather and tides allow.

I've never been to St Bees

I understand that Sheffield folk will want to see the weather forecast before committing to a free place On The Bus
