Anyone got an A3 scanner that me and/or Spam Tramshed (aka SamT) can use?

Well I can do it for you but you'd need to get them to me (Clitheroe ish); I'd expect someone closer to you might surface. You can also pay at Staples or that place on West St.

Sam's dad paid for the originals print, £300ish from the photographer Martin Parr. No option for additional prints or mention of copyright. But Pinders and Staples both say copyright exists, we think they are wrong (as does my brother who is a lawyer). So an impasse unless we can find a scanner.

So Paul, we might be sending them to you. PM your address. Ta muchly.

Yeah, as soon as I showed them in both Pinders and Staples, they said 'Oooh, that's done by a professional photographer/studio, we can't scan them due to copyright, soz".  End of.

I can sort of see their point.  Just a bit frustrating.

By default copyright exists and belongs to the creator of the artwork, unless you've got any evidence to suggest that Sam's dad bought the copyright or rights to reproduce the images rather than just the prints (which would be very unusual for a print purchase), or the photographer died over 70 years ago etc.

What Dave said. There's no way Martin Parr would allow you to make copies. Personally I can't stand his stuff, and I've copied a few C90s in my time, so fill your boots, but nowhere professional is likely to do it for you.
