Just south of Dijon is the lovely little town of Beaune.
Just south of Dijon is the lovely little town of Beaune. If anywhere is the wine capital of France, it's here. Cafes and wine tasting opportunities a-plenty. Cheap hotels on edge of town. I'd stop off here.
I did wonder where you were on about!! Cheers for the responses guys, Just booked ferries. Reckon we'll head down briancon way. Stop off for a snooze in an F1/ibis round Troyes/Dijon on the way down/back. Ardeche is still a possibility. Merci.
