Sds drill for highline bolting
March 07, 2016, 09:10:00 am
As part of Shaff this weekend a group of slackliners have been invited to rig a 60m highline on some of the Sheffield Hallam university buildings. To enable the rigging a 12mm expansion bolt needs to be drilled in reinforced concrete. Unfortunately the guy who was going to bring the drill had pulled out. Was just wondering if anyone on here and Sheffield based had a suitable drill we could borrow? Would need it for thursday. Preferably cordless but could possibly manage with a long extension.

Thanks and sorry for the non-climbing post!

I'd be happy to hire you ours - www.access-techniques.com, and a pull tester, at a reduced rate, but you'd have to convince us you know what you're doing.

Failing that any local hire shop will rent an SDS and the day rate is tiny.

Will they be juggling Poi?

Cheers Johnny, I've told the girl who is organising so hopefully she will contact you.

Hopefully no poi or circus skills of any description! (excluding slack lining)

Good, because that would just be silly!
