Hopefully this isn't a spoiler for everyone but yesterday Lee Johnston (a close personal friend of Nibs  ;)) won his first TT in the supersport  :2thumbsup:

ITV coverage is well behind, so only showed the super bike race last night.  Presumably saving supersport coverage for tonight.

I'll avoid this thread from now on.

Oh God, sorry Sam :(. I won't post anymore results here, just photos.

Also weather through practice week and today has been rubbish. Hopefully things will improve the the schedule is getting squeezed quite hard by time constraints. I've got grandstand tickets for Friday so I hope the weather plays ball...

No worries  ;D - should have known better than to look at the thread.

Its a nightmare trying to avoid results - When I open a new google tab on my phone, it aways puts 'headlines' at the bottom and since I read a lot of motogp/roadracing articles, it cherry picks them for me and often spoils my planned watching.  Busy time of the year for viewing.  Haven't caught up with all the races from Mugello yet.

Really p***ed about the weather.
I was hoping to listen to some motorcycle racing commentary while at work this afternoon...

Really enjoyed catching up on the TT via the ITV Hub.

Highlights for me, definitely the Supersports, and the interviews with the likes of Todd, Jordan, West etc - great insight into what it's like to be cutting your teeth as a privateer!

Oh, and the Paton (lightweight) is a beautiful machine. I just wish it didn't sound like a wet fart - or cost £25k for the strada.

Not too big for Sam either  :P

The Paton is a beautiful machine indeed. I'd love one.
I'm really happy that they managed to have all the races - although some of them in a shorter fashion - it seemed really impossibile at some point!!!

On a side note, I am extremely excited to announce that the one and only Master Welder Nik of this parish, has started building my new, custom made, aluminium seat unit.

Fantastic stuff Lore. The seat unit on the Paton - very similar to your's, and of course there's the stripped tank too. Where did they get the inspiration?  ;D

Norton have gone into administration.

Dad reckons he hasn't lost his deposit on the V4RR because he paid it on his credit card. As a fairly accomplished businessman he also has some strong opinions about Stuart Garners mismanagement.

Sad news indeed.
That goes also to show that he shouldn't have sold the Domiracer.

That’s a sad tale Lore.

More to come like that now we’ve left Europe I suspect :( 😢

Here we go, latest updates.
New subframe, shorter and with all the good stuff (battery, cables, tension regulator, etc.) duly hidden under the seat.

Thank you very much indeed Rob, for posting up the photo. I just need to spray the lavender red/black to match.

I've been thinking about another bike for a long time, and after a year of selling old vacuums and other things I'd found in skips - seriously - I had enough for this little baby.

It's a '97 ZX6R in beautiful condition; 1 owner, 10k miles  :2thumbsup:

I hadn't ridden since '92 and fully expected I'd drop it negotiating the speed bumps, leaving a castings business just outside Sheffield, sold by a certain Mr R Cook. No relation to ours  ;D

I was wearing bicycle gloves to begin with, and helmet and jacket that I'd also found in skips. Quick stop at a bike shop, before heading out to the Tor  :punk:

I'm going to be beg, borrowing and steeling (if anyone will let me!) any kit that I could use for a while.

Nice to share with everyone here. Thanks guys  :bounce:  :2thumbsup:

Dave.
