Has anyone done this recently? Went to try it today and I think the big pebble you get with your rh has broken off.

 :'(

I'll never do this bloody problem. Is this the pebble that you go to as the first tricky move? Still doable at 7C?

Cheers Duncan.

Don't reckon its 7c now. The remaining pebble is crap - yeah its the one you go to as the first move.

You must mean the problem? He doesn't weigh enough to snap a pebble!

Which pebble has broken / gone? As I remember left hand on ledge big move to intermediate pebble then right hand index finger on a pebble thumb on a pebble then big move leftwards. Is it one of this pair of pebbles that has gone? Was keen to have a look this autumn, disappointed to hear it may be impossible.  :doubt:

It is the big pebble you got with your index of middle depending on preference, I think it's just the thumb catch one that is left now

I snapped the next pebble off now today  :'( right after having worked out all the moves on the rope too. So gutted. Might still be possible but I doubt it.

Did the pebble snap, or pull out? Did you keep the pebble? Would be interesting to try to refine.

The pebble snapped in half,I was wondering if it's possible to glue but I don't think it is.

A broken piece of quartz pebble should superglue back very well as the two faces are a perfect match. Depending on the direction of pull on it you could then build up a little reinforcing fillet. You do this by repeatedly adding layers of grits and glue. SG sets very fast so you can essentially sort of 3d print a little bit of artificial grit. I've found it's the best way to reinforce small fragile features and is stronger and less ugly than resin. All moot though if the pebble is lost.
