Hi Andy.

Hope life's good.

The book was a great read - as was Jerry's. Really takes you back to some great times! Completely deplorable in places of course  :P (It really wasn't that busy.. ;) )

Enjoyed reading about your love affair with Gogarth - inspired me to get back over there for the first time in twenty years! I love that place. Ticked a few classics which I'd missed the first time, including Resolution Direct of course - which is fabulous  8)

Great to see metallic lycra making a comeback. It's all too clean though these days; piss stains were always de rigueur  ;D

Will pm ya x

Cheers.

Thanks Jack.

And Andy obviously! Must be weird putting yourself out there again after so many years of relative anonymity... :punk:

Magnificent  ;D

I'm amazed you still have the Lycra. I had a similar pair, but only had hoops on one leg, stripes on the other. Very jealous.

Aww shucks thanks all, greatly appreciated by this old f*rt.
Am sure most will agree that Charlie is the star of the show (he wrote it and memorised the entire thing like a pro).
Re: the Lycras ,,,  could never throw the rainbows out and thought I'd kept the pink pair too but can't find 'em.
When I visit Charlie at Northside Boulders in Melbourne there's no end of Lycra on display ,,, cute (on some)!
Thanks all.
AP.

The old Stoney guide has a picture of Jason on Black Kabul. I am belaying wearing.... exactly that AP regulation Lycra, as inspired by the man himself. It was 1985 after all...

Ha! So my prediction of Lycra's return to climbing fashion was right then. Such a pity the tights shop on Eccy Rd (Sheff) closed recently.
Hope everyone stays safe and well.
Cheers,
AP.

Many thanks to those who've been in touch over Chrizzy and NY.
Hope everyone has a cracking 2017 and best regards from Oz.

Happy New Year Andy.

Fond memories of me & my mate picking you & Basher up hitching at Pen y Gwyrd en route to Tremadog. We were after our first E2 that day - Nimbus - and you were getting on Strawberries iirc.
