Screw you all, would have loved to see it. Just have to content myself with seeing it rise from front window every clear night.

had a great view of it from the parking at Apparent North

Massive red sunset over castleton, with a huge red moon over burbage  :) absolutely amazing

Another beautiful moonrise, but I can't say it appeared any bigger than normal to my eyes. I suppose it's good to engage people, but it's a shame if we can only do that with superlatives.

Clouded over here for the eclipse unfortunately.

the moonrise was good

the kids had a great time looking at moon features through binoculars - we had a discussion about which bit's they'd like to visit

the little lad twigged that if there are mountains, then there will be stuff to climb

made me think about the old Spotiva ad...

Agree. Appears less than 10% bigger to the eye.

It was 14% bigger than the minimum size it can be.

In diameter or area?

And the minimum size is as unusual as this maximum.

I think even if you took a fairly experience moonwatcher and stuck them into a time machine that popped them out at an unidentified date at a full moon and asked them to tell you if the moon was at apogee, perigee or somewhere between just by looking at the size of the moon they would have a hard time.

Forgot to say it was also 34% brighter. Not sure about the area or diameter.

I though by looking at it only 30% at most ;)
