+1 for Roald Dahl on CDs if they are old enough. We got this tin in a sale for £15. Still a bargain at £20 http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?productId=464637&storeId=10001&catalogId=10051
DTCOTW meant the 2hrs to the coast the other day flew by.

I use the school run to test the tribes musical taste.
Current favourites are:
The Ramones (particularly Blitzkrieg Bop)
Buzzcocks (fast cars)
Bearsuit (I can't stop the Train)
Jake and the Neverland Pirates
Faith no More
Pop will eat itself (Can u dig it)

Well,

It was Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy which was the real winner.  It was the original radio version on audio book.  I was surprised but the kids totally got it and have been trotting out quotes ever since.

Queen was tried out, and apart from enlightening me a bit, was met with indifference.  Slaves was also enjoyed, though not by my other half.

Lots of infinite monkey cage/desert island discs too, when the boys where lost to minecraft.
