Each crag page now has a blurb and in some cases a photo attached. This should make it easier to get a feel for the character of each crag before clicking through.

Far Crag – new problems
28 June 2015, 5:52 pm
On the blocks to the left of the Main Wall are some nice new problems courtesy of Denis Gleeson and Helen Soutar. Such is the popularity of the crag they were repeated almost immediately by Dave Musgrove’s Pensioner Elite Squadron.
Enjoy!

I think this is a crag discovered by Mike Grey about 5 plus years ago. It looks like a place he took me and Andy Swan to, there was a few things in the 7s. On that undercut bouldered the second one in the topo, there was a hard right to left traverse if its the same place.
There was a load of stuff down a ravine and up the other side.

Big Fran also told me Swanny had done a load of 7s at this place. Keep up the good work in the face of the retroclaimers though...
On a similar note, there's a sitter to an arete that Andy Crome did at around 7A at Rowantree. Not sure how that ties into things, but he did it ages ago.

Thanks guys. Retro claims are fine (unless it's one of my "new" things
) but without full information it is difficult to include them (there are a number of arętes at Rowantree which could have 7A sitters). We're keen to make the guides as up to date as possible so if you do have new information or problems to add then please send it to unknownstones@gmail.com
That way the relevant crag author can pick it up. I've never been to Far Crag or Rowantree so can't really picture what you're trying to describe very well.
I'll make Clarkey aware of these posts and hopefully he can get in touch with Swanny but please do drop details into the email inbox. Particularly keen to hear about problems in the 7s as the grade pyramid of US is quite bottom heavy. It's not that there isn't climbing to be done in the high 7s, it's just that we're all punters!

Butch new traverse from Nathaniel Larsson. It has already stopped at least one aspirant.
Who is feeling strong enough for the full lip traverse? Maybe need to wait for the autumn!

Mike Grey is the one you need to get in touch as he developed these places, he then took Swanny when he done most things. He did lots of things at Roundhill further a long from the stuff in the Yorkshire grit guide and also down in Arnagill he did a lot of stuff.
He would go running and find these places.

Although highlights appear in the YG guide West Chevin provides a useful dry weather hit for Leeds based boulderers looking for shelter from the wind or sun. A full script has been included for those elves that love being in the woods.

New problem at Yeadon Crag
20 July 2015, 1:18 pm
A new problem has been added to the Prune Buttress at Yeadon. The Arkenstone follows a technical start into an easier but spicy finish at Font 7A+. The guide has been updated and is available for download.
This begs the question, which will be the next project line to be done on The Prune? There’s more to go at, but the difficulty can only go up from here!
